Who
bIRC is made and sold by Fredrik Blank, a sole trader in Sweden. Contact: info@freshbit.se.
The app
bIRC is free. bIRC Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro features listed in the app and in the documentation. There is no subscription.
Buying Pro
On the Mac App Store, Apple sells Pro and Apple's terms apply.
For the direct download, Pro is sold by Paddle.com Market Limited, our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment, VAT, receipts and refunds under Paddle's buyer terms. After purchase you get a license key by email.
Your license key
A key is personal. It is for you, on the Macs you use. Don't share it, publish it or resell it. The key contains the email address you bought with, so the app can show who it belongs to. Nothing else is stored in it.
A Pro purchase includes updates to the app. You can request a lost key again at any time.
Updates
The direct download checks birc.app for updates. You can turn automatic checks off in the app.
No warranty
bIRC is provided as is. I do my best to keep it working, but I can't promise it is free of bugs or fit for a particular purpose. My liability is limited to what you paid for Pro. This doesn't limit any rights you have as a consumer under the law.
Law
Swedish law applies.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date.
